The hotel is situated in a picturesque location on the historical centre island "Gamla Stan" close to many shops and restaurants. A bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. There are a number of shopping opportunities in the historic centre with several boutiques and shopping just 5 minutes by foot.

This hotel was built in 1760. Originally first used to store stock it was converted into a hotel in 1819. In 1930 the architect Gustaf Sandberg created the splendid facade with small sculptures which exists until this day.
The lobby lounge can be reached through the access over the riverside road that has been designed in typical maritime style. Everything is catered to resemble a holiday feeling: Polished stone floors, dark wood panelling and oriental lamps and compasses, model ships and artworks.
The traditional library lounge with exposed walls offers a comprehensive selection of modern and antique Swedish books.
The vaulted cellar is nearly 100 years older than the main building and its construction dates back to 1690. Here the wellness area has been placed with plunge pool and separate sauna for men and women.
The guests have a 24 hour reception at their disposal. Further there is a concierge service, travel and trip service, parking service, laundry service, limousine service, bureau de change and internet available.
The business and conference centre provides all modern business facilities, top class telecommunication as well as wireless internet throughout the house. On request additional services such as computer rental, translator, mobile phonse and wireless internet can be provided.
The meeting and event room "Per Brahe" is the former inner space of an old ship from 1910. The drawing room of the same ship with dark red colours and dark wood panelling is also used as a lounge. Further meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 218 people are on a meeting ship at anchor which is opposite the hotel entrance.

In the restaurant "Reisen" a combination of Swedish and French cuisine is served. “The Bar” has for the second time in succession been awarded by the Swedish daily newspaper "Dagens Nyheter" the prize of being one of the best three bars in Stockholm. Innovative and exciting cocktails are mixed with trendy music being played in the background.
BEAUTY & WELLNESS:
The "Reisen Luxury Spa" provides a sauna, plunge pool and fitness centre and is situated in the basement vault from the 17th century. It offers a large selection of holistic wellness programs, therapeutic treatments as well traditional massages, special wellness programs and beauty treatments.
